Mary wrote her first poem when she was four but it took her another fifty-six years to begin sharing them properly. She has been on television and radio and has dished up poems all over the country as part of the Poetry Takeaway team. Her debut pamphlet "Happiness FM" was published in 2020 and in 2021 was selected as one of 10 uplifting books by the NHS for the NHS. Her latest collection "Late Shift at the Pickle Factory" was published by Burning Eye Books in June 2023
